Jack Miller was drawn to real estate by the desire to work in a field where he could build relationships based on authenticity and trust.
After getting his start in corporate sales, Jack was encouraged in making the career shift to real estate by an aunt and uncle who had a brokerage in Asheville and thought this industry would be a good fit for him.
Originally from Tidewater, Va., Jack settled in Nashville in the fall of 1988. He holds both a real estate license and broker’s license and is a full-time real estate agent who is a luxury and relocation specialist. Jack and his long-time business partner, Robert Stutts, have been innovators in technology and practices that drive the industry forward. In the 1990s, they created the predecessor of an app that gave clients private, password-protected webpages to monitor and comment on listings and to track transactions.
This earned them local recognition that included a Nashville Business Journal cover story and kickstarted being named to the NBJ’s Top 25 Real Estate Agents list year after year.
Through the years Jack has stayed committed to his primary goal: authentic relationships that go beyond the sale. He has built loyalty with clients and seen many of these professional relationships become some of his closest friendships.
He continues to drive innovation and education in the industry. Jack co-hosts a monthly podcast, Estate of Mind, for the Institute for Luxury Home Marketing, where he and other experts share advice on working with high-end real estate clientele.
Jack holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and psychology from the College of William and Mary in Virginia, which he earned after spending a year with the youth service leadership nonprofit Up With People. He completed his master’s degree in student personnel services at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, before moving to Nashville.
Jack has long been a mentor, advocate and support for Middle Tennessee youth. He is a past president of Make-A-Wish® Middle Tennessee’s founding board of directors, former youth mentor with both Monroe Harding and Youth Villages, and a DCS foster parent.
