Centennial Park and The Parthenon
Part of Nashville’s network of green spaces, Centennial Park is a quiet oasis off one of west Nashville’s main thoroughfares. Walk around the pond, pack a picnic, watch a concert in the amphitheater, head to the center of the park to marvel at The Parthenon and 42-foot statue of Athena, or catch one of the many cultural festivals held there throughout the year.

Since the marquee lights first flipped on at Franklin Theatre in 1937, it has become home to classic movies and live music, where locals can spend a few hours being moved to tears or laughter or song.
