Franklin Theatre Holiday Movie Showings

Throughout the month of December, the Franklin Theatre shows Christmas favorites like Miracle on 34th Street, Elf, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation and Home Alone. The theatre also hosts holiday music events to enjoy the sounds of the season.

ICE! at Gaylord Opryland

This year, ICE! will feature “A Charlie Brown Christmas,” presenting 12 scenes from the classic holiday story, all sculpted from 6,000 blocks of ice. The self-guided experience is open to all ages and includes 20-foot ice slides to enjoy. Visit the attraction between now and Jan. 3.

Nashville Ballet “Nashville's Nutcracker” 2025

Nashville’s Nutcracker returns this season with performances running from Nov. 29 through Dec. 28. The production includes elaborate costumes, detailed sets, and a blend of classical and local elements, and it remains a longtime seasonal tradition for many locals.

40th Annual Dickens of a Christmas

The 40th annual Dickens of a Christmas, hosted by the Heritage Foundation of Williamson County, will take place in Downtown Franklin on Saturday, Dec. 13, and Sunday, Dec. 14. This Victorian-inspired outdoor street festival recreates the time of Charles Dickens and will feature a variety of musicians, dancers and Dickens characters.

Holiday Lights at Cheekwood

Each winter, the Cheekwood gardens transform into a winter wonderland with more than a million lights covering the property. This year, the historic mansion will be decorated by former White House florist, Laura Dowling. Tickets to tour the mansion and gardens are available until Jan. 4.

Nashville Zoo Zoolumination Festival of Lights

Zoolumination is the country’s largest lantern festival, showcasing more than a thousand  custom-made silk lanterns. With an ice-skating rink, live entertainment and nightly visits from Santa from Nov. 28 to Dec. 24, the event offers a wide variety of holiday entertainment.

The Best of Christmas Variety Show at The Franklin Theatre

Enjoy timeless Christmas hits on Monday, Dec. 15, as the Franklin Theatre hosts a variety show featuring vocalist Ryan J. Driscoll and his Music City Ensemble Band. Shows begin at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. with doors opening an hour ahead of time.

Columbia Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting

The holiday season kicked off in Columbia on Friday, Nov. 7, with a tree lighting celebration. On Saturday, Dec. 6, Columbia Main Street Corporation, in partnership with the City of Columbia, will host a holiday parade starting at 6 p.m. You won’t want to miss it.

Jack Daniel's New Year's Eve Live: Nashville's Big Bash

On New Year’s Eve, The Nashville Convention and Visitors Corp is hosting a free celebration at Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park, featuring live performances by Lainey Wilson, Jason Aldean and Bailey Zimmerman. It’s a great way to ring in the new year with music and fun.
