Christy Bashlor is a seasoned real estate professional known for her strategic expertise, calm confidence, and commitment to delivering an elevated client experience. Originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, Christy brings a people-first approach to every transaction.
Christy attended Texas Christian University, where she played collegiate soccer while studying Communication and Journalism. That foundation sharpened her ability to communicate clearly, negotiate effectively, and lead with purpose—skills that continue to define her success in real estate today.
After relocating from Houston, Texas, Christy and her husband, Shane, made Northwest Franklin their home over a decade ago. Drawn to Middle Tennessee’s character, strong sense of community, and quality of life, what began as a career move quickly became home.
Before transitioning into real estate, Christy built a successful career in the restaurant and hospitality industry, serving as general manager for several highly regarded establishments. Hospitality—what she calls “hostmanship”—has always been at the heart of her work. Creating ease, trust, and a seamless experience for others made real estate a natural evolution of that mindset.
Christy is the leading real estate expert in Stephens Valley and the community’s top-producing agent, having closed more than 110 homes across both resale and new construction. She had the distinct privilege of closing the very first home in Stephens Valley and has been deeply involved in the neighborhood since its inception—selling not just homes, but the lifestyle, amenities, and culture that define the community.
What Christy enjoys most is guiding clients through pivotal life moments—whether exciting, complex, or emotional—while providing clarity, discretion, and confidence every step of the way. Trust is the foundation of her business, and she prides herself on managing every detail with care to ensure a smooth, thoughtful experience.
Christy was drawn to Onward for its values, leadership, and collaborative culture. From her first conversation with Matt Ligon, she felt aligned and supported, confident she had a true partner behind her business. In addition to her role at Onward, Christy also serves as Director of Sales for DeFatta Custom Homes, working closely with buyers throughout the custom home building process.
Outside of real estate, Christy enjoys fishing, gardening, pickleball, and golf. She loves cooking and hosting—bringing people together in meaningful ways. Christy, Shane, and their dog, Miley Grace, enjoy life in Franklin and being part of the community they proudly call home.
